Radio Over Cellular Explained

Push-to-talk Over Cellular (PoC) or RoIP (Radio Over Internet Protocol) is something most radio users are starting to hear more and more about. It’s no surprise as traditional radio systems and radios are:

  1. Expensive to keep and maintain
  2. Transmission range is limited based on geography and distance
  3. Many government agencies are scrambling to replace old systems
