How much does Echo911 MCPTT service cost?
Echo911 Mission Critical Push to Talk (MCPTT) service is $24 per radio per month for unlimited nationwide push to talk, GPS tracking, recording and playback, and over-the-air management. Optional add-ons: 24/7 monitored SOS Response at $15/month, Starlink satellite data at $20/month (currently government only), and mobile hotspot at $40/month.
What networks does Echo911 MCPTT run on?
Echo911 radios ride a nationwide mission-critical digital IP backbone across AT&T FirstNET, Verizon Frontline, T-Mobile FirstResponder, and more than 20 regional carriers. Radios select the best signal automatically, or your administrator can set a manual carrier priority per fleet, plus international roaming on 4G/5G data providers in 170+ countries and an optional Starlink satellite data add-on.
Do I need an FCC license for MCPTT radios?
No. Traditional UHF/VHF two-way radios require FCC licensing; MCPTT runs over carrier networks, so there is nothing to file, renew, or pay the FCC, and no repeaters or towers of your own to maintain.
Can I manage my own radios?
Yes. The Echo911 customer portal lets you suspend and un-suspend service, rename radios, re-map channel knob positions, change radio settings, configure Wi-Fi, and enable add-ons yourself, over the air, without opening a ticket.
Is technical support really 24/7?
Yes. Echo911 operates a 24/7/365 network operations center (NOC) and technical support desk, the same floors that run our public-safety dispatch operation. Most PTT providers limit live technical support to business hours; we do not believe critical systems can run on business-hours support.
Does MCPTT service require Echo911 CAD or dispatch?
No. MCPTT service is available standalone. EchoCAD pairs seamlessly with radio service when you want it - quoted separately, and included at no additional cost with Echo911 dispatch service. Run it with your own dispatchers, and it fully integrates with Echo911 managed dispatch if you ever want us on the radio.
