Legacy radio range is limited by how far your signal can physically travel to a repeater you own. Echo911 works differently: any one of 608,000+ antennas — a 400-foot macro tower, a rooftop small cell, or an in-building repeater — establishes your radio's IP connection to our Mission Critical Push to Talk digital trunked system. From there, distance stops mattering.
- Every carrier at once. V-SIM network selection roams AT&T FirstNet, Verizon Frontline, T-Mobile First Responder, and regional carriers like US Cellular, C-Spire, and Appalachian Wireless — your radio locks to whichever signal is strongest where you're standing.
- Global talkgroups. This is a fully digital trunked system — once connected, every radio on your channel hears you, whether it's across the street or across the country. Offshore rigs, remote Alaskan villages, and interstate convoys all stay on the same net.
- Beyond the towers. Wi-Fi calling and the Starlink SpaceX satellite add-on keep radios connected in disaster zones and true dead spots where terrestrial networks are down or absent.
- Nothing for you to build. No tower leases, no repeater maintenance, no FCC licensing. The infrastructure on this map is owned and maintained by the carriers — you just carry the radio.

Most coverage maps paint the whole country one solid color. Ours shows the actual density of the antenna network your radio can reach — and we shade it conservatively.
- Three signal levels, real data. Excellent, Good, and Fair are computed by proximity to the mapped antenna sites we roam on — macro towers, small cells, distributed antenna systems, and registered in-building repeaters. Not hand-painted.
- De-rated to 75%. Signal reach is drawn at three-quarters of typical real-world range to allow for terrain, trees, and buildings — closer to a worst case than a best case.
- 99% of the U.S. population lives inside at least Fair coverage — including hard-to-reach places like offshore drilling platforms and remote Alaskan villages.
- Fair still talks. Even at the Fair level your radio holds crystal-clear digital audio — and Wi-Fi calling plus the Starlink satellite add-on cover the rare spots terrestrial networks miss.
