Echo911 is a consolidated dispatch center providing contracted dispatching and radio communication services to public safety agencies in all 50 states — and our Huntsville floor is hiring.

Public Safety Telecommunicator — Huntsville, AL

We serve governmental and corporate clients including police, fire, EMS, constables, process servers, and private security. We also dispatch for parking enforcement, towing, utilities, and other critical communication needs. Our Huntsville location is hiring full-time Public Safety Telecommunicators.

Compensation

Starting pay $18–$22/hour depending on experience*
Post-probation range $20–$25/hour*
6-month training & probationary period
$500 sign-on bonus with APCO Telecommunicator and/or current EMD certification
Additional $500 sign-on bonus with current NCIC certification
Annual cost-of-living and performance-based raises

BCBS of Alabama individual coverage at no cost to all full-time employees
Employee + spouse: $250 per pay period
Employee + children: $250 per pay period
Family: $475 per pay period

Scheduling requirements

Echo911 operates 24/7/365, including all holidays
Rotating shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned
Mandatory overtime or on-call possible for staffing needs, major incidents, or natural disasters
Schedule changes may occur with little notice
This flexibility is a fundamental, non-negotiable part of the position.

* Listed pay rates represent our base range. Applicants with extensive telecommunicator experience and/or advanced certifications may be eligible for a higher starting wage and a substantial sign-on bonus.
