Integration · HALO BWC

Body-cam video that files itself against the call.

HALO body-worn cameras upload automatically over Wi-Fi and 4G LTE. With the EchoCAD integration, every upload is tagged to the call for service it belongs to, with a description attached, so the incident record and the video evidence are connected the moment footage hits the vault.

Available now. HALO cameras also work standalone; CAD auto-tagging activates when your agency runs EchoCAD.
How it works

From the officer's chest to the call record, hands-free.

CAPTURE

HALO camera in the field

Records the response and uploads automatically over Wi-Fi and 4G LTE. No docking, no returning to base.

RECORD

EchoCAD call for service

The upload is tagged to its call for service with a description attached, joining the recording, transcript, and unit history on the incident.

AUTOMATIC TAGGING

The right video on the right call.

Uploads are matched to the call for service they belong to, so nobody hunts through a video library trying to remember which incident a clip came from.

DESCRIPTIONS ATTACHED

Footage that explains itself.

Each tagged upload carries a description, so supervisors, records staff, and prosecutors can see what a video contains before pressing play.

ONE EVIDENCE TRAIL

CAD and video, one record.

The call for service becomes the single thread: dispatch history, radio traffic, RMS entries, and now the body-cam footage, all connected.

Why it matters

Evidence handling without the homework.

  • No end-of-shift filing: officers stop spending overtime matching clips to case numbers
  • Nothing gets orphaned: automatic tagging means footage doesn't sit unlabeled in a vault until a records request finds the gap
  • Faster discovery response: pull a call for service and its video is already there, described and dated
  • Secure end to end: AES-256 encrypted storage in Halo Vault, linked from the CAD incident

FAQ

HALO + EchoCAD questions.

How does the video get matched to the right call?

HALO cameras upload automatically over Wi-Fi and 4G LTE. The EchoCAD integration tags each upload to the call for service it belongs to and attaches a description, so footage lands on the CAD incident without an officer manually filing it.

Do officers have to do anything after their shift?

No docking and no manual upload. HALO cameras upload on their own, and the CAD tagging happens automatically as part of that upload.

Do we need EchoCAD to use HALO cameras?

No. HALO body-worn cameras work as a standalone Echo911 video service. The CAD integration is what adds automatic call-for-service tagging, which is available when your agency runs EchoCAD.

Where does the video live?

Footage is stored in Halo Vault with AES-256 encryption, and the CAD incident carries the link to its tagged video, keeping the call record and the evidence connected.
