Integration · Active911 / Active Alert

A two-way bridge between EchoCAD and everyone on Active911.

Agencies across the country alert their responders through Active911 and Active Alert. EchoCAD speaks it in both directions: receive calls dispatched from another CAD or dispatch center straight into EchoCAD, and push your EchoCAD dispatches out to other CADs, dispatch centers, and responding units, without anyone changing software.

Available now. Inbound, outbound, or both, configured per agency by Echo911.
Both directions

Inbound and outbound, on the same bridge.

OTHER SYSTEMS

Other CAD / dispatch centers / units

The county PSAP, a neighboring agency's CAD, or responders carrying the Active911 app.

YOUR AGENCY

EchoCAD

Calls arrive as full EchoCAD incidents; your dispatches go out as alerts everyone else can receive.

INBOUND · RECEIVE

Calls from other CAD and dispatch systems.

When another CAD or dispatch center pages your agency through Active911 or Active Alert, EchoCAD receives the dispatch and creates the incident automatically, with location, call type, and details populated.

  • Automatic incident creation — no manual re-entry from a pager message
  • Full EchoCAD response: mapping, one-tap statuses, self-attach, unit chat, and records on every received call
  • Keep your dispatcher relationship: the county or contract center changes nothing on their end
OUTBOUND · SEND

Your dispatches, delivered anywhere.

EchoCAD pushes dispatches out through Active911 and Active Alert, so mutual aid partners, neighboring CADs, and responding units that live on those apps get your calls in the format they already know.

  • Alert responding units that use Active911 alongside EchoCAD Mobile
  • Notify partner agencies on other CAD platforms without a custom interface on their side
  • Send automatically as part of the normal EchoCAD dispatch workflow, with no extra step for the dispatcher
Who this is for

Built for how agencies actually share work.

FIRE & EMS DEPARTMENTS

Dispatched by someone else's CAD.

Your PSAP tones you out through Active911. EchoCAD turns that page into a live incident with maps, statuses, and reporting, so your department gets modern CAD without waiting on the county to switch.

MUTUAL AID PARTNERS

Working across CAD brands.

Your neighbors kept their legacy CAD. Send them your calls through Active911 and receive theirs back, and cooperate as if you shared a system, because functionally, you do.

TRANSITIONING AGENCIES

Switching without a hard cutover.

Moving to EchoCAD? Keep Active911 alerting running in parallel during the transition so responders never miss a call while dispatch workflows move over.

FAQ

Active911 integration questions.

Which direction does the integration work?

Both. Inbound, EchoCAD receives calls dispatched through Active911 or Active Alert from another CAD or dispatch center and creates the incident automatically. Outbound, EchoCAD sends its dispatches out through Active911 so other CADs, dispatch centers, and responding units get the alert on the platform they already use.

We are dispatched by a county PSAP that runs a different CAD. Does this help us?

Yes. That is the most common use. If the county pages your department through Active911, EchoCAD picks the call up automatically and your members get the full EchoCAD experience: mapping, statuses, self-attach, and records, without asking the county to change anything.

Do our mutual aid partners have to run EchoCAD?

No. Partners can stay on their existing CAD and keep receiving your dispatches through Active911 or Active Alert. Nobody has to change software to work together.

Do we still need our Active911 subscription?

The integration connects to your agency's Active911 / Active Alert account. Echo911 configures the connection on the EchoCAD side and supports it end to end; talk to sales about your specific setup.
