Your data, your choice

Request removal from Echo911's public results.

Ask us to stop displaying your phone number's information in the public results of the CID Intelligence tool. We'll email you a confirmation link before anything changes.

Please understand the limits of this request: confirming a removal only nullifies the result when someone looks your number up on Echo911, meaning the public lookup simply returns nothing. Echo911 does not collect this information and is not its provider; we relay results from third-party lookup APIs to assist public safety, and we have no control over the information held by those providers. Their records stay exactly as they are and remain available through their own services. To fully remove your information, you must contact the correct carrier(s) and the data sources directly (see where this data comes from below). Verified public-safety agencies also retain access to results for non-emergency call handling.

We use your email only to confirm and administer this request. Nothing changes until you click the link we send you. Requests are logged (including IP address) to prevent abuse.

Data sources

Where this data comes from.

Results are assembled in real time from third-party sources, including Twilio Lookup, carrier LIDB/CNAM records, and commercial Caller ID databases.

Echo911 does not collect, own, maintain, or sell this information. We only display lookup results to assist public safety agencies with administrative and non-911 calls.

Caller ID records are maintained by telephone carriers and commercial data providers. Any correction or deletion request must be submitted directly to the carrier or database operator responsible for the record.

Major Caller ID and identity-data providers include:

  • TransUnion / Neustar
  • Transaction Network Services (TNS)
  • First Orion
  • Hiya
  • Truecaller
  • Whitepages
  • Ekata / Mastercard Identity

Common data sources by service:

  • Traditional CNAM: carriers, LIDBs, and TransUnion/Neustar
  • AT&T call labels: Hiya
  • T-Mobile call labels: First Orion
  • Verizon call labels: TNS
  • Global Caller ID: Truecaller
  • Reverse-phone lookup: Whitepages and Twilio
  • Branded calling: First Orion, Hiya, TNS, and TransUnion/Neustar
Advice for citizens: if you do not want your name and details distributed with your phone number, contact your carrier and ask that your Caller ID information be set to anonymous or private, and ask to be excluded from directory and data-sharing programs. Most carriers sell or license their subscriber data to the providers listed above for profit. Requesting removal from Echo911 only nullifies the result this tool returns publicly. The carriers and providers above keep their own records, and Echo911 has no control over them. Request removal from Echo911's public results here.
